A year between families
An adult may leave a family at any time, but can create or join another only a year after joining the previous one.
Steam · Windows + Android
Steam launches with Windows, the library is open, friends are online. Gardion names the exact minutes spent in Steam today and this week, and shuts the game down on a daily limit or on hours when play is off. The computer and the phone sit in one parent panel.
Where Steam stops
A child opens another launcher, a browser or YouTube, and the Steam rule does not reach them. The Steam limit is spent, yet the evening still went to a screen.
Gardion counts time on the computer itself, so the limit can cover the whole store, one game, or the whole screen.

An adult can recover a child’s account once thirty days have passed since the child joined the family.
Access settings, reports and time limits live inside Steam. Other launchers and the browser are outside them.
What Gardion does
We count minutes while the child plays and act on the computer, not inside the store. Steam chat stays private — we do not read it.
For all of Steam or for one game. Time is up, the game goes dark, other programs keep working.
School hours and after bedtime: the game will not launch.
Numbers instead of arguing about “just a little”.
The computer and the phone follow the same rule, and a parent edits it from their phone.
No, they do different jobs. Steam manages what happens inside Steam; Gardion manages time on the computer and the phone. They work side by side.
Yes. Pick the game in the app list and give it a daily limit.
No. We count time and manage access.
Steam mostly lives on a computer — see parental controls on Windows. Games with no ending: Minecraft and Roblox. Everything we can limit is on one page.
