Who makes Gardion

My name is Aleksandr. I live in Volgograd, Russia, and I wrote Gardion for my own son.

He is thirteen and he has scoliosis. The doctor told him not to sit still for hours and to get up and stretch. Agreeing on it verbally never worked: time disappears at a computer, and reminders go in one ear and out the other.

I started with Family Link. The settings took me a long time to work through, and what I needed was not there — no breaks with a warm-up, no proper limits on the computer.

I write code, so I built it myself. That is where the breaks came from: every half hour the screen locks for ten minutes and shows warm-up exercises. Daily limits, schedules, website blocking and bypass protection came later.

What Gardion does not do: read messages, watch the screen secretly or record sound. I would not want that tool in my own family, which is why I never built it.

Gardion runs on Windows and Android. Both phone apps are on Google Play (outside the EU and the UK) and on this site as APK files. There are no reviews or ratings on this site yet: they will appear once real ones come in.

We build what parents ask for. Attaching a screenshot to a support request became possible after one family wrote in, and the “Suggest an improvement” button exists because ideas were ending up in store reviews, where I cannot answer them. If something is missing for you, write to me.
